running into leaves & rivers in the rain [you cant catch me] chasing the grey clouds. standing in the front doorway we had nothing to discuss & just froze like i have never seen such a person who can speak with their eyes. climb up a boulder that scraped your knee like when we were little as you reach out your hand to help me from getting scratched.
sitting there looking out to sea with the smell of salt at the harbor & freshly caught fish for the Fisherman's Sea Chantey Diner. nothing left to see but the sunset on our hands; it shimmers & glitters like gold dust we throw down onto the floor [& smack off the remains] when we are finished with all that was layed out for us.
just like high school, it's all just a memory. it's all gone.
